BACKGROUND to the lecture  – “0 – The Zero and the Zero State”

In his monthly lecture in March, Lotus Grandmaster Wei Ling Yi will talk about the secrets of ZERO: its origin, its history, its movement. Wei Ling Yi will clarify its perfection and its symbolism. The cosmic truth is hidden in it: ”wu zhong kong wu – wei guan qi miao – through the unfolding of consciousness we realize emptiness. We see through infinitely subtle essences the wonderful glory of original being.”

“0” metaphorically corresponds to the state of emptiness, according to Wei LingYi. It is a circle, like an egg. ZERO symbolically corresponds to the EMPTINESS, the NOTHING, the zero state. In the emptiness lies the origin of the universe. This is where the universe begins – this is its starting point.

The “ZERO” was a great discovery of mankind. The natural sequence of numbers in mathematics is defined by 01234567…..Everything begins at ZERO: ZERO was created to explore cosmic perfection in the state of EMPTINESS. Through this mathematical definition and explanation it is possible to describe how everything returns to zero. The oneness in the state of EMPTINESS as well as the secrets of the universe can be explored and understood. The origin of the universe corresponds to ZERO. ZERO is like a speck of dust filled with primitive life. There is no beginning and no end, floating limitlessly in infinity beyond time and space.

ZERO is EMPTY. Everything is nebulous. It symbolises the centre of the universe. The movement of life in the universe is based on ZERO. Out of it arose the natural cosmological order between heaven, earth, man, all galaxies and planets. Out of it, the DAO path, the path of EMPTINESS was unfolded, moved by the flow of the cosmic original energy Yi Qi, life is created and directed.
