In his May lecture, Lotusmaster Wei Ling Yi will take the lotus flower with a smile and reveal the meaning of the hearts in the hands:

“My heart is the heart of the lotus flower and the heart of the flower is my heart.  My heart is the heart of the universe and the heart of the universe is my heart. I am lotus – lotus am I.”

The importance of our hands is far greater than we realise. Our hands are busy and wonderful, skillful and full of radiance: we call them LOTUS HANDS.The hands have hearts in their centre and through their ten fingers they are connected to our heart – the organic heart. Likewise, they are connected to the other four organs (liver, spleen, lung, kidney) and the six viscera (gall bladder, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, triple heath, bladder). Externally, the hearts of the hands are connected to the hearts of all living beings and the heart of the universe.

While the left hand and its fingers are associated with the YIN, the right hand and its fingers are associated with the YANG. Together, the Yin and Yang hands form a unit. Together they have ten fingers and in each finger is hidden a heart. These ten hearts have no form. They do not come into being and they do not pass away. The hearts are boundless, omnipresent in the universe of the lotus worlds.

But where is the heart? Some say it is in the chest. But that is the physical heart. Where is your true heart? Where do the hearts of your ten fingers unite? Only when you find and recognise your true heart will you be able to free yourself from sorrow and suffering. Where is your true heart? Where is it really?”
