Seeking a Sage in the World

“The whole world is seeking one person.
They are far away on the horizon and yet close before our eyes.
This person is formless, without shape, hidden and invisible, boundless and omnipresent—permeating all phenomena and irreplaceable.
Just as one heart is simultaneously countless hearts, so is the cosmic heart my heart.
Heaven and Earth are one with me, and all beings are a single unity: pure, natural, radiant, and complete.

The whole world is seeking one person. That is a difficult task.
Who is this person? They are like a drop in the vast ocean, hidden in an endless crowd of people—like a staff in the sea, full of immeasurable power, the magical staff that calms the oceans.
Through rain and storms, all people walk the path in pursuit of this mysterious person.
Who are they? Are they hidden deep within the mountains? Or concealed amid the bustling cities?

Might they be present in our everyday lives?
Especially in times of disaster, hardship, and war, people long for a savior—someone who alleviates suffering, saves lives, and transforms the world.
The whole world is seeking one person, but they cannot be found—a person, a heart—a heart that remains unmoved.
This person is MYSELF, this ONE heart is the boundless SELF.
