Dear Lotus friends, dear guests,

With deep respect and heartfelt gratitude for the life and work of Sifu Grandmaster Wei Ling Yi, we warmly invite you to join us in bidding farewell and honoring his life in a dignified ceremony.

The two-day honor ceremony will take place on May 5 and 6, 2026, at the Welt Lotus Zentrum in Beelitz. In preparation for this special occasion, we will hold the seminar “Bai Tong Gong – 100 Children Gong” from May 1 to May 4. This movement form is the first and most fundamental practice (Gong Fa) of the Great Lotus System that Sifu brought to Germany and the Western world.

The seminar, along with the shared preparation time, offers a meaningful opportunity to attune inwardly and collectively to the days of remembrance that follow—an expression of both our gratitude and our connection.

In a mindful and communal setting, we will gather to pause, share memories, and accompany Sifu on his final journey.

The funeral service will take place on May 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the municipal cemetery of the Protestant parish of St. Marien in Beelitz.

For those wishing to arrive earlier, the Welt Lotus Zentrum will be open from May 4 at 4:00 p.m., offering time to settle and prepare in peace. For those unable to attend in person, selected parts of the ceremony will be made available via online broadcast. Details will be shared in due course.

Program Overview – May 5 & 6

These days of farewell will be shaped by ceremonies, moments of silence, and shared remembrance. In a dignified setting, the burial will take place at the municipal cemetery. The gathering also offers space to share memories, stories, and experiences from 60 years with Lotus Grandmaster Wei Ling Yi.

Monday, May 4, 2026

• * From 4:00 p.m.: Arrival
• * 8:00 p.m.: Organizational meeting in the seminar room

 Tuesday, May 5, 2026

• 3:00 p.m.: Welcome at the Lian Hua Tai altar, followed by an incense ceremony
• Approx. 4:15 p.m.: Devotional gathering in the seminar room, where Sifu Wei Ling Yi will be laid out in a quiet and dignified setting
• 8:00 p.m.: “Sacred Fire” ceremony at the BAGUA, followed by a shared farewell at the coffin

Wednesday, May 6, 2026 – Day of Burial

• Approx. 8:45 a.m.: Transfer from the Welt Lotus Zentrum to the cemetery chapel
• 9:00 a.m.: Departure in carpools
• 10:00 a.m.: Welcome of the Wei family and teaching team at the chapel, followed by procession to the gravesite
• 11:11 a.m.: Ceremonial entry of the coffin; we offer him the fragrance of a flower

 Wednesday, May 6, 2026 – Back at the Center

• From 1:00 p.m.: Gathering with cake, snacks, and refreshment
• 3:00 p.m.: Planting of a memorial tree in honor of Sifu Wei Ling Yi
• 5:00 p.m.: Memorial banquet with speeches, shared memories, and Lotus chants
• Farewell to guests

Registration for overnight guests and catering (meals).

The ceremony days are donation-based. In addition, there are costs for room and board for overnight guests at the Welt Lotus Center. Priority and the option for quick, binding room bookings are given to participants who stay at the Welt Lotus Center for the entire duration and take part in the seminar.

Catering costs €18 per day and is optional, but can only be booked as a full package. Self-cooking is not permitted at the center. You are invited to the festive dinner; however, please make sure to register—see below.

The ceremony is donation-based. Accommodation and meals for overnight guests at the World Lotus Center are additional.

• For guests sleeping on mattresses: please bring a warm sleeping bag.
• Please bring slippers and read the house rules.

Memorial Banquet

All are warmly invited to the memorial banquet, beginning at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the large seminar room. Held in the spirit of Wei Ling Yi, it is guided by community, mindfulness, and gratitude.

In silent remembrance of his life and legacy, we come together to share a meal, reflect, and honor the connection he gifted us. This gathering is more than a meal—it is a moment of presence, sharing, and reverent remembrance.

All participants, guests, residents, and organizers who would like to attend the festive dinner are kindly asked to register in the digital YiXue registration portal under the new “button”  “6.5 Farewell and Festive Dinner.”

The evening will gently conclude around 9:30 p.m. in a quiet, communal atmosphere.

Dress Code for May 5. und 6. – As an expression of traditional respect, we kindly ask you to wear the following colors (combinations are welcome): white, black/gray, or dark blue (please avoid bright colors, especially red)

For the Ceremonies, Please Bring

• One white candle (approx. 9 × 16 cm or 8 × 15 cm)
• Three unopened packs of incense sticks

Flowers will be arranged centrally as follows:

• Floral arrangements such as wreaths, flower bowls, altar flowers, and grave offerings (roses) will be organized by us.
• For the decoration of the Lian Hua Tai altar and Pu Lian Tang, we kindly ask for donations to the account of YiXue Bildungszentrum gGmbH (see details below) or to 
• the donation box at the reception in the center. These donations are tax-deductible.

Transfers: Train Station – WLZ – Cemetery

• If you are arriving without your own car, it is possible to be picked up from Beelitz Heilstätten train station.
• On May 6, carpooling options will also be available between the Welt Lotus Zentrum and the cemetery, both to and from the burial service.

As the capacity of our drivers and shuttle services is limited, and several events will be taking place in parallel, we kindly ask you to organize carpools independently wherever possible.
