BACKGROUND OF THE LECTURE

In his monthly lecture in March, Lotus Grand Master Wei Ling Yi talks about the secrets of the ZERO and the ONE: about their origin and their meaning. Wei Ling Yi will explain their symbolism. Deep cosmic truths are hidden in them.

Do you know the secrets behind the “0” and the “1”?

The number “0” is mysterious. It is neither large nor small, neither positive nor negative, it neither increases nor decreases. It does not change. ZERO is a circle, a point, floating boundlessly in infinity beyond time and space. The ZERO symbolically corresponds to the EMPTINESS, the NOTHING, the zero state. It is nothingness, it is also chaos.

The number “1” symbolically carries great significance. A proverb says: “Return from chaos to the ONE or unity. The ONE was at the beginning of our existence. The beginning did not arise from NOTHING. The Dao was unfolded out of the ONE.

What is the connection between the “0” and the “1”?

Mystification and abstraction of zero and one enable us to understand the initial connection between zero and one, i.e. also between having and not having. Zero and one are constantly changing.

Why is the limit of 0 1? The symbol of 0-1 encompasses the mysteries of the universe. We say: “Zero is the present, 1 is the past, 0 is the state of chaos, 1 is the state of equilibrium, 0 is the “WuJi” (Infinite Origin), 1 is the Taiji (dynamic equilibrium state of the beginning).

Zero is the dividing point between positive and negative numbers, zero is the foundation of one and one is the further development of zero.

The two numbers 0 and 1 are closely linked to the progress of human civilisation: A philosopher defined “one” as the beginning of everything, “zero” as the origin of everything; literati mystified “one” and took “zero” as “inspiration”, scientists regard “one” as a whole and “zero” as emptiness.

The law of 0-1 focusses into wisdom energy, which is the “One”. Macroscopically, it is the “singularity point”. Microscopically, it is the starting point.

0 and 1 are interdependent, full of imagination. Let us explore the ONE – the source of the finite world together with Lotus Grandmaster Wei Ling Yi in this lecture and utilise the power of the ONE, the “unified cosmos Qi field”.
